Rizah saved her wages and furlough whilst fundraising to create a bursary for young BAME students.
WE ARE WALES wishes to capture the stories and experiences of individuals from BAME backgrounds across Wales who, during the Covid-19 pandemic, gave selflessly to others in their local communities.
This project aims to construct a new narrative that reinforces the role of BAME people in Wales, not as victims, but as net contributors to the social economy and asserts a more inclusive notion of Welsh identity, focused on strengths, contributing and helping.
