Shirley Au-Yeung’s Story
Shirley shared her story with WE ARE WALES to show the incredible contributions of BAME people in Wales.
Shirley Au-Yeung came to Wales as a student. After meeting her husband she decided to settle and stay. She is now chairperson of Chinese in Wales Association. At the beginning of lockdown, there was complete panic and lack of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Shirley used her business contacts in China to source PPE and get it to frontline health workers in Wales.
